Studio Piece Deposits
When you reserve an in-progress studio piece, you pay a 30% deposit to hold it. The remaining 70% is due when the piece reaches the finished stage. Jorrdan will email you a balance link at that time. If you don't pay the balance within 14 days of that email, the reservation is released and the piece becomes available again.
Please understand that pottery is a risky process. A piece can crack during carving or drying, crawl or blister in glazing, or break in the kiln. These failures are a natural part of the craft and can happen even when everything is done right. If a piece does not survive the making process for any reason, your deposit will be refunded in full. You are never on the hook for something that didn't make it out of the studio.
The deposit is non-refundable only if you cancel after reserving. This protects Jorrdan's time and materials invested up to that point. If you need to cancel, please reach out as early as possible.
Finished Pieces
All sales of finished, ready-to-ship pieces are final. If your piece arrives damaged, please photograph it and contact us within 48 hours at jorrdan.barroso@punkypottery.com. We'll make it right.
Made-to-Order
Made-to-order pieces are non-refundable once production has started. If you need to cancel before work begins, contact us within 24 hours of placing your order.
Shipping
Orders ship from Havana via USPS Priority Mail with tracking. Handling time is 1–3 business days for in-stock pieces; made-to-order pieces ship in 2–3 weeks. Free local pickup is available; select it at checkout and we'll arrange a handoff time.
Punky Pottery is not responsible for packages lost or damaged in transit after handoff to the carrier. We pack everything very carefully (bubble wrap is our love language). If something goes wrong in shipping, file a claim with USPS and let us know so we can help.
Custom Requests
Custom additions to in-progress studio pieces are by agreement only. Requesting a custom touch does not guarantee it can be done; Jorrdan will confirm what's feasible and at what stage. Any agreed cost adjustment will be added to your balance payment.
